Enjoy the Seashores & Forests of Galway City

Galway first ever 'Wildlife Week' commenced in the city last Monday with a seven day series of events designed to introduce people to the wonderful flora and fauna found locally.
The city has a remarkable range of habitats where animals, insects, birds, fish and plants live including forests, hedgerows, lakes, rivers, bogs and seashores.
On Sunday October 22nd, there are two interesting events being held that should appeal to everyone:
1. Guided Nature Walks from the Claddagh to the Salthill Promenade- Walks will commence at 11.30am & 12.30am from Nimmos Pier (beside the Claddagh Hall) to Salthill beach.

2. Planting of flower bulbs & Guided Forest Walks at Terryland Castle (beside the Maze) near the Quincentennial Bridge from 1pm to 4pm
