Joy Obeto, one of the most popular residents in the Eglinton, gave birth yesterday morning to a lovely baby girl.The new-born child will be known as 'Saoirse' which is Irish (Gaelic) for 'Freedom'.
Everyone extends their warmest wishes to both mother and daughter.
Long life and happiness to ye both!
Joy has been a dedicated worker on behalf of asylum seekers in Ireland & we hope that she will find time in the future (motherhood permitting!) to once again take up the cause.
