Information Session on Recognition of Educational Qualifications Obtained Outside Ireland

KNOW HOW TO GET YOUR QUALIFICATIONS RECOGNISED & USED TO GAIN EMPLOYMENT!
Among the many challenges facing immigrants in Ireland is the issue of recognition of their qualifications obtained outside the State. The state has developed a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with which qualifications obtained outside Ireland could be assessed and compared in order for them to be officially recognised and then be useful in accessing further education and or gaining employment in the state.

The Association of Nigerians in Galway is hosting the National Qualification Authority of Ireland and FAS to present an information session on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) and the prospect of gainful employment in the state.

The information session would be held in the Days Hotel on Saturday next (May 17) at 2pm
Speakers:
  • Ms. Alice Carr, Employment Services Officer, FÁS, Galway
  • Ms. Niamh Lenehan, Manager of Operations, Europass and Qualifications Recognition, National Qualifications Authority of Ireland, Dublin
This information session is open to all within the immigrants’ community, relevant service providers, and the general public. This is a very good opportunity to know and ask questions about how qualifications obtained outside Ireland could be recognised and used to gain employment/education.
