Among the many challenges facing immigrants in Ireland is the issue of recognition of their qualifications obtained outside the State. The state has developed a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with which qualifications obtained outside Ireland could be assessed and compared in order for them to be officially recognised and then be useful in accessing further education and or gaining employment in the state.

The information session would be held in the Days Hotel on Saturday next (May 17) at 2pm
Speakers:
- Ms. Alice Carr, Employment Services Officer, FÁS, Galway
- Ms. Niamh Lenehan, Manager of Operations, Europass and Qualifications Recognition, National Qualifications Authority of Ireland, Dublin
