Fashion Show, Barbeque & other exciting events planned for Spring

Members of the Eglinton Asylum Seekers Support Committee are working hard to provide a series of exciting events for the Spring.
So read on!
Chidi and her sub-committee are planning a Fashion Show in a local hotel during April.
Mary is hoping that funding will be allocated to provide baking classes in the VEC training centre
in Sandy Road during the same month.
The committee has
membership of the Galway City Intercultural Forum who along with the Galway Refugee Support Group will be hosting a big Barbeque in May.

With regard to internal issues: the committee discussed with management issues raised by residents including:
  • a more varied Breakfast menu- this will be provided one morning per week
  • locking the front door of the building- this was declared impossible die to health and safety reasons. Hence parents must take responsibility for supervising their own children.
Cinema in the Eglinton!
A Special Film Night will be held in the Eglinton at 7pm on Thursday February 21st supervised by Dmitry.
Natasha is endeavoring to provide free popcorn to all cinemagoers!
